The bill of landing is one of the key documents in transport services both domestic and international.It is a document that specifies the term of the contract of carriage of goods.Typically the shipper and the carrier construct it together which states on the reception of the consignment for transport and then give the sender a copy of this letter. Most often it would be drawn up in four copies -original ,for the carrier to be issued to the recipient - ridge ,for the carrier,remains the forwarding station -quotation,for the carrier,used for confirmation of receipt -repeater,for the sender Oftentimes the bill of landing shall be the basis for customs control and toll collection for the transported goods.

Integrated supply chain বইয়ের ভাষায় Integrated supply chain হচ্ছে  A network of suppliers,factories,warehouse,distribution center,and retailers through which raw materials are acquired transformed and delivered to the customer. অথবা আরেকটি সঙ্গা হচ্ছে SCM is the art and science of integrating the flows of products,information and financial through the entire supply pipeline from the suppliers supplier to the customers customer. আজকে আমাদের আলোচনার বিষয় "Terms of shipment"   আমরা আজকে Shipment এর কিছু প্রচলিত রীতি নিয়ে কথা বলবো। Free on Board (FOB)  এই রীতিতে যে পণ্য বিক্রি করবে অর্থাৎ Exporter  সে পণ্য পাঠানোর সকল খরচ যেমন পণ্য পরিবহন, পণ্য নিরাপত্তা পণ্য পণ্য জেনো ঠিক সময়ে সঠিক ভাবে পৌছায় সব কিছুর খরচ বহন করেন Exporter. তবে এই রীতিতে শুধু মাত্র Freight forwarding এবং Outbound traffic  এর খরচ যে পণ্য ক্রয় করছে Importer সে দিবে।   Carriage and freight  এর নাম এখন আমেরিকা তে হচ্ছে Cost and freight (C & F). এই রীতিতে ইন্সুরান্স এর খরচ দেয় ক্রেতা আর বাকি সব খরচ বহন করে বিক্রেতা।   এই রীতিতে অনেক বড় বড় কোম্পানি চলে যেমন DHL,FedEx,UPS.একে বলা হয় "GSR".অর্থাৎ Guaranteed Service Refunds. পণ্য যদি সঠিক সময়ে সঠিক ভাবে না পৌছায় টাকা ফেরত। Carriage, Insurance  and freight     এই রীতিতে সব খরচ বিক্রেতার। Exporter will bear the cost of insurance and freight.  সবশেষে সবচেয়ে ভালো রীতি হচ্ছে বিক্রেতারা একজন Shipper পছন্দ  করে সবচেয়ে কম দা...

আমরা সবাই "AMAZON.COM" থেকে পণ্য কিনি অনেক নাম শুনি কিন্তু জানিনা কেন এটা বিখ্যাত। Amazon.com পৃথিবীতে সেরা তাদের Best Supply Chain Management এর কারনে। তাদের কাছে সবার আগে ক্রেতার সন্তুষ্টি।  Amazon.com এর কিছু রহস্য:   ১.Amazon warehouse এর পরিমাপ হলো  one million square feet অর্থাৎ ২৩ একর.  এটা অবস্থিত Baltimore,Maryland,USA.এখানে কাজ করছে ৪০,০০০ শ্রমিক। সবচেয়ে মজার কথা হলো তারা  হাট তে অনেক বেশি পছন্দ  করে তাই তারা মেশিন নির্ভর কম. ২যখন একটা পণ্য Amazon এর Warehouse এ আসে তা ১২ ঘন্টার মধ্যে স্ক্যান এবং নির্ধারিত স্থানে রাখা হয়. ৩.তাদের Warehouse এ পণ্যগুলো অনেকটা ক্রম অনুসারে সাজানো থাকে। যে পণ্যের চাহিদা বেশি তা কাছাকাছি রাখা হয়. পণ্য। তাদের পণ্য রাখার জন্য ৫০ টি নির্ধারিত স্থান রয়েছে। ৪.তাদের সবকিছু  শুধু মাত্র কম্পিউটার এর সিস্টেম এর  উপর নির্ভরশীল নয়। তারা বেশি নির্ভর হচ্ছে  Hybrid data gathering methodology that utilizes humans armed with bar-code data collection software. ৫. তারা একটা এলগরিদম এর মা...

Supply Chain Management এর ইতিহাস ১৯৬০ সাল এর দিকে কোনও পণ্য সরবরাহ এর জন্য প্রয়োগ করা হতো "Physical Distribution"।এই পদ্ধতিতে কাঁচামাল সংগ্রহ করে নেয়া হতো স্টোরেজে তারপর স্টোরেজে থেকে চলে যেতো প্ল্যান্ট এ তারপর Warehouse এ সবশেষে ক্রেতার কাছে। Raw Materials---Storage---Plant---Warehouse--Markets এটা ছিলো ১৯৬০ সালের পদ্ধতি। ১৯৮০ সালে এর নামকরন হয় Business Logistics/Integrated Logistics । এই পদ্ধতিতে কয়েকটা নতুন দিক যোগ হয় -Coordination between the outbound and inbound sides of logistics -analyzing both trade-offs for total costs -the value of demand aspects of customer service effectiveness. ১৯৯০ সালের দিকে এর নাম হয় Supply Chain Management তখন এর প্রক্রিয়া পরিবরতন হয় কিছুটা Supply Chain Management এ Reverse Flow যোগ করা হয় মানে হলও তিন ধরনের Flow -Product/Service Flow -Information Flow -Finance/Cash Flow Suppliers---Contracted Manufacturers-- Manufacturers--- Wholesalers---Retailers/Customers ...
